No Turning Away

We’ll be perfectly frank and admit that we’re so impressed with its polished presence that we’d be smitten with McIntosh’s MT10 turntable even if it tracked the grooves on our vinyl with a nail driven through a broomstick.

(This might be an improvement over the crap that passed for audio gear in our youth.)

A Perfect Platter

In the days when rock ‘n’ roll ruled and DJs spun platters that kids listened to over car radios and “transistors,” the biggest hits were called hot wax.

Well, wax or vinyl — or whatever it is that records are really made from — is hot again, as any audiophile will attest.

And proof of that is a product like the Proscenium Black Diamond from Walker Audio.

Not so bad?

I’m not sure if it was the first sign of a complete mental breakdown or a subconscious attempt to prove that my life has almost no shred of real meaning. But whatever the reason, I recently found myself in the middle of a beautiful Saturday afternoon sprawled out on a recliner watching Space Buddies.

And for that, I'd like to thank Samsung.

When it comes to Bang & Olufsen, we’ll admit it: We’re fanboys.

Some companies sizzle with style and flair, some propagate performance, but few meld both as deliciously and consistently as those dudes from Denmark.
